About Amy

I’m Amy Salman, and I want to give you the gift of health!  A gift I’ve given myself and now share passionately with others.

I was suffering with chronic illness for over 30 years, and today live free from all unmanageable symptoms and unnecessary medications.  

At The Wellness Map, I will take you through the simple steps that freed my life from chronic illness, medications, fad diets, stress, and cravings, and help you create your personal "Wellness Map" for optimal health and vitality.

 Whether you've been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease or other chronic illness, want to increase sleep and energy, reduce stress and food cravings, shed unwanted pounds, or live a happier, healthier life, you're in the perfect place!


My Training

I received my professional training and certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.  

I've trained in a wide variety of dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods.

Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences and goals.


My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventative healthcare. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them implement lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.

I hold a B.S. from University of Maryland, am a classically trained ballet dancer, and trained in Barre Method. I'm a regular guest speaker on various radio and cable television shows, and lead nutrition lectures and events in NYC.

Program Overview

Employee wellness programs can seem like a great idea, but implementing them can become complex and sometimes overwhelming. With so many options, where do you begin?

Because of our background in the corporate world, we understand that you need a solution that is flexible enough to meet all your employee’s needs, yet simple enough to implement. Our programs are set up so that you can quickly and easily select only the elements you need. They’re packaged in a turn-key style so that implementing the program is seamless. The Wellness Map offers companies a series of workshops designed to help your employees live their healthiest and happiest lives. We take care of the Wellness component so you can focus on the rest of the things you have to do each day.


Workshops

All workshops are customizable and designed to educate participants on how food, exercise, and lifestyle choices affect our overall health and well-being. Every choice we make affects our attitudes, mood, productivity, and even our relationships. In addition to providing an engaging, educational discussion with healthy nutrition worksheets, we have also teamed up with some of the healthiest and most reputable food companies out there to bring employees nourishing, delicious food options that will keep them functioning at their peak performance!

Your program includes a series of 60-minute specific workshops. Over the course of the time period chosen, employees will learn how to make healthier food choices, reduce stress and cravings, and maximize their energy and performance. Your employees will walk away from each session equipped with the tools to empower them to make better food and lifestyle choices.

    Often, by doing less we attain more. In this session, multifaceted yoga instructor Rachel Bennett will lead you through a series of simple postures that ground the body, calm the mind and balance the adrenal glands. Building to a slow flow, this class will focus on heart and hip openers, culminating in a pranayama portion (breath work) where you will learn the ancient techniques of nodhi shodhana (alternate nostril breath) and kumbhaka (the pause between and inhale and exhale). You will leave with a "self-love look kit", in touch with your intuition and with more space inside to invite what you truly want into your life.
